The Army Headquarters – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

In light of the LAF Command empathizing with the suffering of the Palestinians in Lebanon, particularly those living inside Ain el Helwe and Miye w Miye camps and in compliance with the plan to preserve security inside the camps as well as after a series of communications and feelings that have resulted in a positive cooperation with the people who are preserving the security of the residents of the camps, the Army Command announces that it has removed the electronic gates in the mentioned camps. The electronic gates have been substituted with security measures that will eventually achieve the hope for goal.

The LAF command reminds the citizens that these measures are not aimed to be against the Palestinian. They rather aim to face the danger of terrorists that are a burden to the residents of the camps and to all Lebanese.
