Rescuing a boat with 32 Syrians on board, including women and children in Anfeh

The Army Headquarters – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On this date at 15.00, Naval Forces detected in the middle of the sea facing Wajh el Hajar post in Anfeh, 32 miles outside the Lebanese regional waters a boat with 32 Syrians on board, including women and children. A patrol from the Naval forces then intercepted the boat which turned out to be facing a malfunction. The Syrians were rescued and transferred to the Lebanese territories to run investigations with them after all necessary means and needs were prepared in order to guarantee their safety under the supervision of the relevant authorities.
