Result of the gas stations’ inspections and raid operations

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
As a result of inspections of gas stations and raid operations conducted by army units on 14, 15 and 16 /08/ 2021, 4.392.725 liters of gasoline and 2.212.140 liters of diesel were seized.
The owners of the seized quantities were forced to sell 4.349.865 liters of gasoline and 1.671.737 liters of diesel to some hospitals, bakeries and the Electricity of Zahle, and to distribute 2.300 liters of gasoline and 279/300 liters of diesel free to a number of citizens and institutions.
40.560 liters of gasoline and 261.103 liters of diesel were also seized on behalf of LAF.
