Riot and arrests in several regions

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
At approximately 4 a.m. at dawn, a number of motorcycle drivers rallied in front of the residence of the Mufti of Tripoli and the North Cheikh Malek el-Chaar, staged riots, and destroyed properties while shouting profanity. The rioters threw burning bottles targeting the Christmas tree in el-Nini roundabout which was ultimately burned down. Immediately following this incident, an LAF Intelligence Directorate unit raided the location where the rioters gathered in the city of Tripoli and arrested (A.A.), (M.A), (H.G) and (A.M) and seized their motorcycles.
At 5:00, an Intelligence Directorate unit arrested (M.CH) and (M.M) for the possession of weapons and narcotics as well as (A.N) and the Syrian national (N.A) for opening fire targeting citizens and a mobile phone shop in the city of Tripoli.
Army units also intervened and fused tensions in Corniche el-Mazraa and Barbour due to removing certain posters and the situation returned to normal.
