Security incident in Bourj el-Barajneh

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 30/3/2020, a personal dispute broke out in the town of Bourj el-Barajneh between a number of young men due to a disagreement related to a parking space. The dispute escalated to opening fire and this led to the injury of one (H.Z) who passed away. An army patrol intervened on the spot hampering any further escalation and army Corporal (A.H) turned himself in to the patrol troops.

Investigation is in process under the supervision of the relevant judiciary authorities to unravel further details related to the incident and to arrest the perpetrators.
