Security measures during the month of November

The Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement: 

As a result of the security measures taken by Army units in different Lebanese regions during the past month of November, these units arrested around 2440 individuals of different nationalities, some of them for being involved in trafficking narcotics, theft, possession of weapons and narcotics and others for committing different violations that include unlawful roaming in Lebanese territories and unlawfully driving cars and motorcycles.

The confiscated items included weapons of different types, quantities of light and medium ammunition, narcotics, smuggled diesel and fuel, quantities of radio devices and surveillance cameras in addition to 63 vehicles, 37 motorcycles and 3 fishing boats.

The arrested individuals were turned in along with the confiscated items to the relevant authorities in order to take the necessary measures.
