Security Measures Taken By The LAF During January In Various Lebanese Regions

The Army Headquarters - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

As a result of the security measures taken by Army units in different Lebanese regions during the past month of January, these units arrested around 3744 individuals of different nationalities, some of them for being involved in terrorist crimes, opening fire, assaulting citizens, trafficking narcotics, theft, smuggling and possession of weapons and narcotics and others for committing different violations that include unlawful roaming in the Lebanese territories and unlawfully driving cars and motorcycles.

The confiscated items amounted to different types of combat weapons and an amount of light ammunition and narcotics and smuggled tobacco, IT devices, communication devices, surveillance cameras as well as 47 cars, 1 fishing boat and 21 motorcycles.

The arrested individuals were turned in along with the confiscated items to the relevant authorities in order to take the necessary measures.
