Seizure of a Mobile Captagon Manufacturing Lab in Harf Al Sammaka –Hermel Outskirts and Arrest of a Wanted Individual in Sahraa Choueifat

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
As part of efforts to combat drug trafficking across various Lebanese regions, and following careful monitoring and surveillance operations, a patrol from the Directorate of Intelligence seized a mobile laboratory inside a van equipped for the manufacture of Captagon in the area of Harf Al Sammaka – Hermel Outskirts. A large quantity of raw materials and equipment used in drug production was also confiscated.
In a separate operation, another patrol arrested in the Sahraa Choueifat area a Lebanese citizen (T.Z.) who is wanted for committing various crimes, including: attempted murder, assaulting a citizen, collecting money at gunpoint in connection with usury activities, trafficking in military weapons, extortion, provoking clashes, and opening fire.
The seized items were handed over and an investigation has been initiated with the arrestee under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
