Several soldiers injured and several rioters arrested

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 09/12/2019, in Tripoli, several protesters gathered in front of residences of MPs in the region. The situation evolved to an exchange of insults, provocation, throwing trash bags and throwing stones in between protesters and the guards of the residence of MP Fayssal Karame, leading to the injury of 6 soldiers, LAF units intervened in order to separate the clashing parties and prevented the protesters from causing riot and starting fire in trash cans. The LAF also arrested citizen Mohammad Abdel Aziz Ouyoun el Soud.

And in Sarba, the LAF arrested on 10/12/2019 4 individuals for burning tires in the region and attempting to block the highway.

Interrogation was carried out under the supervision of the relevant authorities.
