The signing ceremony of the agreement of launching the training in the regional school for demining between the Lebanese and the French armies

Under the patronage of the Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun, the signing ceremony of the agreement of launching the training in the regional school for demining between the Lebanese and the French armies was held in the Said el Khatib Barrack – Hammana.

The ceremony was attended by Brigadier General P.S.C Ziad Nasr, the head of the LMAC, representing the Armed Forces Commander as well as the French Ambassador to Lebanon Bruno Foucher who was heading a delegation from the embassy along with the director of cooperation in the field of security and defense in France, Lieutenant General Didier Brousse and several officers.

Brigadier General Nasr delivered a speech in which he expressed his appreciation to the French authorities for their technical and financial support for the sake of the training in the school, particularly considering it is the first school of its kind in the middle east that prepares and trains human troops in the frame of human operations for demining and human goals.

Lieutenant General Brousse also delivered a speech in which he stressed the importance of this school in order to treat the problem of mines and suspicious devices in Lebanon, as well as training new teams in this field in order to meet different future needs in the most possible efficiency.

In the end, Brigadier General Nasr offered 2 commemorative shields to the French Ambassador and to Lieutenant General Brousse. Moreover, he recited a letter of appreciation in behalf the Armed Forces commander and delivered it to ambassador Foucher in appreciation of the efforts of the French authorities in supporting the army.
