Soldier martyred while carrying out duties in Aarsal outskirts

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 6/11/2020, at around 23:15, while a patrol from the 4^th land border regiment was carrying out a mission in Aarsal outskirts on al Fatha road crossing, individuals riding motorcycles fired towards the troops, which led to the martyrdom of one of the soldiers. The troops returned fire before the shooters fled.

The LAF found an amount of contraband and narcotic pills that weighs about 50 kg and two motorcycles.

The seized items have been extradited to the valid authority, and investigation is being carried out to arrest the shooters.
