A soldier martyred while pursuing a narcotics trafficker in Marjahin – Hermel

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On this date, while an intelligence directorate patrol was pursuing a narcotics trafficker in Marjahin – Hermel, it was exposed to fire by unknown individuals, which resulted in the martyrdom of a soldier and the injury of 6 others. The LAF called for backup to the region in order to pursue the wanted individuals. The issue is being followed up.
