Two individuals arrested and an amount of materials intended for smuggling seized

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 14, and 15/04/2021, the army units deployed in Bekaa were able to arrest two individuals, seizing around 1750 liters of diesel fuel, 1520 liters of gasoline, 700 kg of propane, 15 tons of subsidized sugar, and a quantity of tobacco, all of which were being smuggled into Syrian territory.

In addition, the army seized a cistern, a truck, and two vehicles used for smuggling across the Lebanese-Syrian borders.

The seized items were handed over to the competent judiciary authorities and an investigation was initiated with the arrested individuals.
