Two individuals of Syrian and Palestinian nationalities arrested for belonging to the terrorist organization ISIS

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

In the context of monitoring, prosecution, and preemptive security action by the Intelligence Directorate aimed at following up on individuals inside Lebanon suspected of being linked to terrorist organizations and communicating with their leaders in conflict places in an effort to join them, the Directorate arrested the two brothers (A.K.) and (M.K.), who hold both Syrian and Palestinian nationalities, and who confessed, during interrogation, of belonging to the terrorist organization ISIS and swearing allegiance to it, communicating with its leaders inside Syria, and attending courses within the aforementioned organization to move to Syria and join its ranks.

Their interrogation is still ongoing under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
