Two Syrians arrested in the Bekaa and South regions

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

A patrol of the Intelligence Directorate arrested the Syrian (KH.H.) in Bekaa for financing extremist groups that previously existed in the outskirts of of Arsal, especially the terrorist organization ISIS, and for his communication with its most prominent leaders.

Another patrol also arrested, the Syrian (M.AA.), in the south due to his affiliation with the terrorist organization ISIS and his allegiance to it, and for taking legal, military and security courses. Among his duties was to track people who violated the organization’s laws, to hold them responsible later on. During 2017, he entered Lebanese territory surreptitiously and resided in a number of Lebanese regions.

The investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
