Visit of His Excellency the President of the Republic to Fouad Chehab Academy for Staff and Command

His Excellency the President of the Republic General Michel Aoun visited Fouad Chehab Academy for Staff and Command where he was welcomed by LAF Commander General Joseph Aoun in the presence of Army Chief of Staff Major General P.S.C Hatem Mallak in addition to senior army officers.

This visit is the first of its kind made by the President to the Academy where he was briefed about the higher education curricula in addition to a detailed explanation addressing the needs of the Academy and its situation.

His Excellency also met with the officers following the current staff course who will be graduating soon and welcomed the foreign officers attending the course. He confirmed that the valuable military information and the exchange of expertise contributes to raise the level of professionalism and enhances the capability to administer the battle and coordinate all weaponry. This was manifested in “Dawn of the suburbs” battle in addition to other security achievements in terms of tracking down terrorist cells inside the country. His Excellency congratulated the course officers and called them to invest in the information and skills that they acquired and wished them all the success in their military careers

The Academy Commander presented to His Excellency a commemorative shield and thanked him for the visit.

Afterwards, General Aoun spoke to the graduates and stressed the importance of the role played by officers in their units where they contribute in a decisive manner in taking the right decisions and considered that the “Dawn of the suburbs” battle was a true example for this role.

In conclusion, LAF Commander General Aoun congratulated the officers an wished them success in their future posts.
