Visitors of the Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun

The Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun received in his office in Yarzeh the British Ambassador in Lebanon Mr. Hugo Shorter, accompanied by military attaché Lieutenant Colonel Chris Gunning where they discussed the relations of cooperation between both armies as well as the British aid program offered to the LAF, particularly in land border control. Moreover, General Aoun received the Tunisian ambassador Mr. Mohammad Karim Boudali and the Ambassador of Cyprus Ms. Christina Rafti where they discussed the general situation in Lebanon and the region. Furthermore, the Armed Forces Commander received the president of the truce supervision committee in the UN and its Chief of Staff Major General David Gawn where they discussed the situation at the southern borders as well as the relations of cooperation between the army and the committee in the frame of the truce accord and resolution 1701. General Aoun also received the general director of the ministry of Finance Dr. Alain Bifani then Mr. Maher el Saqqal who was heading a delegation from the Sunni committee.
