Visitors of General Aoun

The Lebanese Armed Forces Commander, General Joseph Aoun, received in his office in Yarze, the European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Affairs Olivér Várhelyi. They discussed the general situation in Lebanon and the region, as well as developments on the southern borders. He also received the Deputy Chief of the British Defense Staff, Air Marshal Harvey Smyth, in the presence of the British Ambassador to Lebanon, Hamish Cowell, and the Military Attaché, Major Lee Richard Saunders. Additionally, General Aoun received the Commander of the Italian Joint Operations General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo heading a delegation. They discussed ways of cooperation between the Lebanese Armed Forces and the British and Italian armies.
