VISITORS OF GENERAL JOSEPH AOUN

The Lebanese Armed Forces Commander, General Joseph Aoun, received in his office in Yarzeh the French Minister of Foreign Affairs, Stéphane Séjourné with a delegation that includes Anne Grillo, the Director of North Africa and Middle East Affairs at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the French Ambassador to Lebanon, Hervé Magro. The meeting focused on the general situation in Lebanon and the region, as well as developments on the southern border.
During the meeting, the importance of supporting the Lebanese Army was emphasized, given its role in protecting Lebanon's security and stability. The situation in the south was also discussed, with a focus on cooperation and coordination with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in line with United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701.
