Visitors of the Lebanese Army Commander-in-Chief

Army Commander-in-Chief General Rodolph Haykal received at his office in Yarzeh the President of the American Task Force on Lebanon (ATFL), former U.S. Ambassador Edward Gabriel, accompanied by a delegation. The meeting focused on the latest developments concerning Lebanon and the region.

During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the important role of the Army amid the exceptional circumstances the country is experiencing. Ambassador Gabriel praised this essential role in preserving Lebanon’s internal stability.

The security arrangements related to the Framework Agreement were also discussed, along with the complexities and challenges resulting from the ongoing attacks and violations by the Israeli occupation.
