Visitors of the Lebanese Army Commander-in-Chief
The Lebanese Army Commander-in-Chief, General Rodolph Haykal, received in his office in Yarzeh the Australian Ambassador to Lebanon, Andrew Barnes, accompanied by a delegation, on a farewell visit marking the end of his mission in Lebanon.
He also received a delegation from the Maronite Patriarchate representing Cardinal Patriarch Mar Bechara Boutros Al Rai, which included the Patriarchal Vicars, Bishop Elias Nassar and Bishop Antoine Aoukar. They emphasized the necessity for all Lebanese to rally around the Lebanese Army Commander-in-Chief, the military institution, and all security forces. They also expressed deep appreciation for the sacrifices of the army across the country, stressing the importance of the army’s presence in southern towns and supporting their resilience amid the current exceptional circumstances.
On another note, General Haykal received MP Kassem Hachem, along with an accompanying delegation from Shebaa – Hasbaya. Members of the delegation expressed their appreciation for the army’s efforts in the town and its surroundings, and for standing by its residents during the current difficult phase.
