Visitors of the Lebanese Army Commander-in-chief
The Lebanese Army Commander-in-Chief, General Rodolph Haykal, received at his office in Yarzeh the Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alaa Moussa. During the meeting, they discussed the general situation and the latest developments in Lebanon and the region. The Ambassador also emphasized the importance of the role entrusted to the Lebanese Army under the Framework Agreement, commending its efforts and sacrifices in preserving stability.
General Haykal also received a delegation of Maronite bishops from the Lebanese diaspora, including Bishops Antoine Tarabay – Australia, Simon Faddoul - Africa, and Peter Karam -France. The bishops affirmed the Lebanese diaspora's unwavering support for the military institution and praised the Army's sacrifices throughout the country. They also expressed their sincere appreciation for the visit made by an Army delegation, accompanied by the children of fallen servicemen, to the Lebanese community in Australia.
In turn, General Haykal thanked the Australian Lebanese community for its warm hospitality toward the delegation and expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Maronite bishops in the diaspora, noting that they represent Lebanon with distinction and enhance its standing in countries around the world.
