Wanted Syrians and Lebanese arrested in Bekaa

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 20/3/2023, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate in Al Maalaka-Zahle arrested the two Syrians (A.M.A.) and (A.A.A.) wanted for belonging to the most dangerous kidnapping and drug trafficking gang headed by the wanted (H. J.), and for shooting at Lebanese army patrols. A quantity of drugs, military equipment, ammunition and hand grenades were seized in their possession.

A patrol from the Intelligence Directorate in Bekaa also arrested the two brothers (T.Z.) and (Z.Z.) for providing logistical assistance to the wanted Ali Munther Zuaiter (aka Abu Sala) and providing him with medical aid, and for monitoring the army's movements and transporting the families of the wanted into Syrian territory.

The seized items were handed over and the investigation was initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
