Widespread Security Measures Across Various Lebanese Regions Aimed at Arresting Wanted Individuals and Disturbers of Public Order

The LAF Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

Following surveillance and monitoring operations targeting the movements of wanted individuals, those disturbing public security, and infiltration attempts across the northern and eastern borders, LAF units—each supported by a patrol from the Directorate of Intelligence—carried out wide-scale security measures across various Lebanese regions. As a result, 73 individuals were arrested as follows:

• The arrest of citizen (AA.A.), wanted for arms trafficking, in Arsal – Baalbek. A large quantity of light and medium weapons, military ammunition, and equipment was seized.
• The arrest of two Syrians, (AA.Z.) and (TH.AA.), in Mina and Tall areas of Tripoli, with a quantity of narcotics confiscated.
• The arrest of 70 Syrians in various areas of the North Governorate for illegally residing in Lebanese territory.

The seized items were handed over, and the investigation with the detainees was initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authority.
