Workshop on economic development in developing countries and the State's sovereignty over its natural resources

The research and strategic studies center in the Army, in cooperation with the Islamic University of Lebanon, organized a workshop entitled "Economic Development in Developing Countries and State Sovereignty over its Natural Resources", which lasted for 3 days at Fouad Chehab academy for command and general staff and the Islamic University of Lebanon - Khaldeh, with the participation of lecturers and researchers and a number of army officers.

At the end of the workshop, Brigadier General P.S.C. Mansour Zogheib, the director of the research and strategic studies center, representing the Lebanese Army Commander in Chief General Joseph Aoun, delivered a speech in which he stated: “The Army Command has put on top of its priorities exerting maximum energies to contribute to alleviating the difficult circumstances that Lebanon is going through. Therefore, economic development and the exploitation of our national resources are essential for economic recovery. We are confident that the recommendations of the workshop participants will be very useful, and present substantive ideas to improve the conditions of our institutions after much of them has stalled as a result of the current deterioration.
