FUNERAL OF MARTYR CAPTAIN Georges Tarabay

The Army Command and the citizens of Majdel el-Aqoura – Jbeil organized the funeral of Martyr Captain Georges Tarabay who was martyred on 17/09/2022.

The funeral began with the honoring ceremony of the martyr in front of the Central Military hospital where a patrol from the military police and the army band offered the required salutes and honors and the martyr received the Medal of War, the Medal of the wounded and the Medal of Military Appreciation silver Degree. Following the ceremony, the ritual prayers were performed on his pure body with the presence of citizens and comrades at Mar Saba church - Majdel el-Aqoura – Jbeil.

Brigadier General P.S.C Georges Al Khoury who represented the Minister of National Defense Mr. Maurice Slim and the Lebanese Army Commander in Chief General Joseph Aoun delivered a speech on the occasion in which he praised the qualities of the martyr and his devotion in performing his military duty. It included: “Our pride in George meets the deep sorrow and great sadness, after we lost one of the best and bravest men, and a dear brother and son, who was a source of pride and hope for his small family, his parents and relatives, and his big family, the army who embraced him in his youth. In this situation, we have nothing but the acceptance and submission, based on our faith and our satisfaction with the decree of God”
