The inauguration ceremony of female housing units in the First Land Border Regiment in Chadra – North

An inauguration ceremony of female housing units was held at the First Land Border Regiment in Chadra, with the support of the US authorities. It was attended by the representative of the LAF Commander, General Joseph Aoun, the US Ambassador to Lebanon, Lisa Johnson, and several officers.
Ambassador Johnson delivered a speech in which she highlighted that the project provides accommodation for thirty female personnel affiliated with the First Land Border Regiment and demonstrates the commitment of the United States to support the Lebanese Army, given its importance for Lebanon's security and stability.
She praised the dedicated efforts of the military institution in border control, highlighting their high level of professionalism, and commended their steps towards enhancing the role of women and empowering them to fully utilize their capabilities in serving their country.
The representative of the Army Commander, Brigadier General Engineer Tony Abboud, Deputy Chief of Staff for Equipment, delivered a speech in which he stated, "Our gathering today for the inauguration of female housing units in the First Land Border Regiment, funded by the US authorities, reaffirms the commitment of the United States to support the army during this sensitive phase that Lebanon is going through. It marks a significant step in empowering women and enhancing their role in the army, as well as developing the operational capabilities of our units, particularly in border monitoring and control."
He expressed his gratitude to the US authorities for their vital support to the military units through various means, and their commitment to deepening the cooperation between both parties.
