24 Individuals Arrested in Different Areas as Part of Security Measures

The Lebanese Armed Forces Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

As part of the security measures implemented by the military institution in various regions, army units arrested 23 individuals as follows:

• Raids on the residences of wanted individuals in the Bar Elias – Zahle led to the arrest of citizens: (M.AA.), (M.M.), (W.H.), and (J.J.) for their involvement in gunfire incidents. Weapons and military ammunition were seized in their possession.
• 19 Syrians were arrested in Ghazze and Hosh Al Harimeh – West Bekaa, as well as in Hrebta – Baalbek and at Al Mhatta checkpoint – Hermel for illegally entering Lebanese territory.

Additionally, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, supported by an army unit at Abu Ali roundabout – Tripoli, arrested the citizen (M.Q.) for being wanted for gunfire incidents. A military weapon and a quantity of ammunition were seized in his possession.

The seized items were handed over, and investigations with the arrestees were initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
