Reception Ceremony of a Donation from the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) to the LAF

A ceremony was held at UNIFIL Headquarters in Naqoura to mark the handover of 105 vehicles donated by the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) to the LAF. The event was attended by UNIFIL Commander, Major General Diodato Abagnara, the representative of the LAF Commander, General Rodolph Haykal, along with several officers.

During the ceremony, Administrative Brigadier General PSC Walid Abou Chaar, representing the LAF Commander, delivered a speech in which he said:

“Thanks to continuous cooperation with UNIFIL, the Army has achieved a qualitative leap in developing its logistical support means for the units, which is closely linked to the operational aspect. Likewise, our cooperation in the field of training has enhanced the efficiency of our personnel and provided them with highly valuable skills.”

On the other hand, Major General Abagnara emphasized the importance of cooperation and coordination between the Army and UNIFIL in various security and development missions, noting that this donation comes within the framework of strengthening logistical capabilities to facilitate the work of military units and ensure the success of their missions.
