Arrest of the citizen (N.Z.), one of the most dangerous wanted individuals for crimes including shooting at army personnel and posts, and trafficking in weapons and drugs

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement

On 20/11/2025, after a series of monitoring operations and precise security follow-ups, the Intelligence Directorate succeeded in arresting the citizen (N.Z.) in an ambush on the Al Kneisseh – Baalbek road.

The detainee is considered one of the most dangerous wanted persons, with a large number of arrest warrants issued against him for forming gangs active in multiple Lebanese regions involved in drug and weapons trafficking, manufacturing narcotic substances, armed robbery and theft. He had also previously opened fire at army personnel and posts, as well as at citizens’ homes, and kidnapped individuals for ransom.

The investigation with the detainee was initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authority.
