Seizure of a Drug Manufacturing Facility and Military Equipment

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

As part of the security measures implemented by the military institution across various Lebanese regions to pursue individuals undermining security and to combat drug trafficking, a unit of the Army, supported by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, carried out raid operations in the town of Yammouneh – Baalbek. The operations resulted in the seizure of a drug manufacturing facility and the confiscation of a large quantity of drugs, in addition to military equipment.

Additionally, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate arrested the citizen (A.H.) on the Airport Road – Southern Suburb, who is wanted for forming an armed robbery and theft gang, trafficking in military weapons, firing gunshots, and instigating disturbances.

The seized items were handed over, and an investigation was initiated with the detainee under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
