Arrest of 4 Citizens and Seizure of a Large Quantity of Military Weapons and Ammunition

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On January 15, 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to pursue those involved in the trafficking of military weapons and individuals disrupting security, an Army unit carried out raids on the residences of wanted persons in the Qasr–Hermel area. The unit arrested the citizens (H.M.), (Z.M.), (A.N.), and (H.J.) for trafficking in military weapons and opening fire. A large quantity of military weapons and ammunition was seized in their possession.

The seized items were handed over, and investigations with the arrestees was initiated under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
