The Army Continues Anti-Drug Trafficking Operations and Arrests 7 Citizens

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

As part of ongoing surveillance and raid operations aimed at combating drug trafficking, an Intelligence Directorate patrol set up an ambush in the town of Al-Koueikh – Hermel, where it seized a van being used as a mobile drug-manufacturing lab. A large quantity of narcotics was found inside the vehicle.

Another patrol in the Al Swayqa area – Tripoli arrested 7 citizens for forming a gang involved in drug trafficking and distribution. A large quantity of hashish, salvia, and captagon pills was confiscated.

The seized items were handed over and the investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
