Army Continues Pursuit of Individuals Firing into the Air

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

Following the previous statement regarding the pursuit of individuals firing into the air after the ceasefire agreement came into effect, army units carried out raids in the areas of Bourj Abi Haidar and Tariq El Jadideh – Beirut, Al Madina Al Riyadiah – Baabda, Boudai, Kfardan, Tarayya, and Hazzine – Baalbek. They arrested seven citizens and one Palestinian for firing into the air on April 17, 2026, and for possessing unlicensed military weapons. A quantity of weapons, military ammunition, and equipment was seized.

The seized items have been handed over, and investigations with the detainees have begun under the supervision of the competent judiciary. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining individuals who fired into the air.
