Army Conducts Raids in the Southern Suburbs (Dahiyeh Janoubiyeh) on Residences of Individuals Who Opened Fire during a Funeral, Arrests One of Them, and Seizes Weapons and Ammunition

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

The army implemented immediate security measures in the Kafaat– Southern Suburbs (Dahiyeh Janoubiyeh), including raids, patrols, and the establishment of temporary checkpoints, following gunfire during a funeral ceremony.

In this context, army units raided the homes of those involved, arrested one of the shooters, and seized a quantity of weapons and ammunition.

The seized items were handed over, and an investigation with the detainee has been initiated under the supervision of the competent judiciary. Efforts are ongoing to arrest the remaining individuals involved in the shooting.
