Army Commander-in-Chief and Head of Ceasefire Oversight Committee Meet at Airport

Army Commander-in-Chief General Rodolph Haykal and the head of the Ceasefire Oversight Committee – mechanism – U.S. Lieutenant Joseph Clearfield held an exceptional meeting at Beirut Air Base.
The meeting came as a result of a brief visit by Clearfield and focused on the security situation in Lebanon, regional developments, and ways to maximize the effectiveness of the mechanism and further develop its role.
Both sides stressed the importance of the Lebanese Army’s role and the need to strengthen its support amid the current circumstances.
General Clearfield left Lebanese territory following the meeting.
