Graduation ceremony of specialized officers from the Army and the General Security in the military academy

The graduation ceremony of a session named "The Weapon of Knowledge" including specialized officers from the Army and cadet officers from the General Security who completed their assigned training period was celebrated today in the military academy. The ceremony was attended by the Secretary General of the higher council of defense, the LAF Commander representative Major General General Mohammad Kheir. The ceremony was also attended by the General Director of General Security Major General Abbas Ibrahim, a crowd of officers from the Army and the General Directorate of General Security and guests.
The ceremony began with the Lebanese national anthem, then the decree of appointment was recited and commemorative shields were exchanged between Major General Ibrahim and the top of her class, Lieutenant Mireille Ibrahim. Results were also recited and the Commander by interim of the academy Brigadier General Fadi Ghorayeb distributed the diplomas.
Major General Ibrahim delivered a speech on the occasion in which he congratulated the graduates and stated that this session aims to provide the directorate with the necessary specializations as part of its development plan. Major General Ibrahim also reiterated the importance of cooperation and complementation between the army and security units in order to protect Lebanon and its diversity from the dangers of the Israeli enemy as well as terrorism. Moreover, Major General Ibrahim called upon the graduates to abide by the laws and regulations, to treat citizens with full respect and to be loyal to the nation first and foremost, for the directorate has no place for any kind of sectarianism or communalism. Major General Ibrahim confirmed as well that providing security for the citizen is his sacred right as much as it is a duty for security and military institutions.
Furthermore, Major General Kheir delivered a speech in which he congratulated the graduates and stated that their session that includes officers of different specializations is proof that the Lebanese youth is going for military and security institutions that are the welcoming family that embraces their specializations and skills. Major General Kheir confirmed that the army and the general security institutions along with the other security bureaus in the country have their own complimentary parts, for each has its own role and missions that might wither converge or diverge in some fields. However, what is certain is that they all aim to protect Lebanon, its land, people and institutions. Moreover, Major General Kheir delivered a speech that included the following:" In light of the recent dangerous events in the region, we took upon ourselves in the army and with tight cooperation with security forces to prevent the hand of Evil from spreading into Lebanon. Therefore, we have been a strong barrier in the face of terrorist organizations that attempted to infiltrate into the eastern and northern borders in order to find their way inside Lebanon and stir tumult and chaos. We were able, thanks to our resistance and to the sacrifices of our hero martyrs and injured troops, to achieve the greatest of victories over these organizations and to dismantle their webs and cells no matter where they were lurking. Today, we reiterate our strict commitment to protect the country from the schemes of the Israeli enemy and of terrorism, which are similar, and we will not allow them to spread in Lebanon, regardless of the difficulties and sacrifices."
