Live fire night combat drill in the shooting field of Hannoush – Hamat
Units from the 2nd Infantry Brigade with the participation of the Air Force, the Navy and units from the following regiments: Engineering, Rangers, 2nd Artillery and 1st Armored Vehicles conducted a live fire combat drill in the shooting field of Hannoush – Hamat under the supervision of the Special Forces School. The drill simulated the liquidation of a terrorist group entrenched in an urban area.
During the drill, shootings with tanks, helicopters, and light and medium weapons took place and explosives were detonated. The maneuver also included naval support with the help of combat boats as well as air support and disembarkation and the evacuation of injured individuals from the battlefield using helicopters.
This maneuver comes in the frame of a qualitative training plan set by the Army Command in order to increase the level of preparedness of units and their readiness for swift and efficient intervention in different combat circumstances.
