The Chief of Staff toured the 7th Infantry Brigade and the 5th Intervention Regiment
The Chief of Staff Major General Hatem Mallak toured the 7th Infantry Brigade and the 5th Intervention Regiment in the South Litani Sector where he toured their front posts and was informed of the security and defense and missions as well as the situation at the border regions. Major General Mallak also met with soldiers and officers and conveyed to them the directives of the Armed forces Commander General Joseph Aoun for the coming phase. The Chief of Staff called to reinforce the preparedness of the Armed Forces to face any possible Israeli assault and chase away any dangers that might threat citizens. Major General Mallak also stressed the importance of commitment to Resolution 1701 in coordination with the UNIFIL in this critical phase. Furthermore, Major General Mallak stated that the stability in the South is the result of tight cooperation and mutual trust with the UNIFIL and the strength of the LAF emanates from Lebanon’s right to hold on to its national land and sovereignty in land, at sea and in air and from the unity of the Lebanese citizens in their support of the military institution entrusted to Lebanon’s independence and interests.
