The Armed Forces Commander inspected the operations rooms of regions

The Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun visited the operations rooms of regions and inspected the measures taken with the aim of preserving security during the elections. General Aoun commended the efforts of officers and soldiers as well as the coordination between the LAF, security forces and official administrations concerned with the elections. Moreover, General Aoun conveyed his directives in terms of enabling citizens to express their opinion in the ballots in an ambiance of freedom, tranquility and democracy. General Aoun also confirmed that the LAF will be firm with any attempt to disrupt security or hinder the elections regardless of the perpetrators. The Armed Forces Commander also confirmed that the LAF are on the watch for all kinds of urgent events.
