A ceremony honoring the Governor of Banque Du Liban Dr. Riad Salame under the patronage and with the presence of the Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun
Under the patronage of the Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun, the central military hotel – Monroe hosted a lunch reception honoring the governor of Banque du Liban, Dr. Riad Salame with the presence of the Armed Forces Commander and Brigadier General P.S.C Elias el Chami, head of the housing department for soldiers in addition of the deputies of the governor and the chairmen and managers of Lebanese banks as well as a large number of bankers, economic figures and officers.
Brigadier General P.S.C el Chami delivered a speech in which he stated: “after the chamber of deputies decided to support housing loans for individuals with limited income, the housing department for soldiers is hopeful that the current negotiations with banks in coordination with the general housing institution will result in adopting acceptable equations for both parties. What is required in this stage is not to make profit, but to help overcome this hurdle.”
Brigadier General expressed his appreciation for the governor of Banque du Liban for his support of the military institution and his active role in tackling several housing files for soldiers during this crisis.
Moreover, Dr. Salame delivered a speech in which he confirmed that the bank is committed to finding a solution for housing loans for individuals with limited income and carrying on with the cooperation with the LAF in terms of housing loans for soldiers. Dr. Salame also assured that financial situation in Lebanon is stable and confirmed that the fears that are being stirred in this frame are inaccurate.
