Handover ceremony in the Military Council

The LAF Commander General Joseph Aoun headed on this day in Yarzeh the handover ceremony of the Military Council between Major General Georges Chreim who handed over his responsibilities to Brigadier General Elias el-Chamiye. The ceremony took place in the presence of the military council members and senior LAF officers. General Aoun delivered a speech in which he praised the career of Brigadier General Chreim who showed utmost loyalty to his duties and was up to the tasks he was given up until his appointment as member of the Military Council. He praised the efforts that Major General Georges Chreim invested in enhancing the performance of the Military Institution and developing its capabilities while raising the level of combat capabilities particularly during the confrontations between the LAF and terrorist organizations in the past years. General Aoun also congratulated Brigadier General el-Chamiyeh on his new post.

In his turn, Major General Chreim expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the LAF Commander. He confirmed his confidence in the role of the military institution and the ongoing journey from one success to another under the leadership of General Joseph Aoun who has showed keen interest in boosting its capabilities and patriotic message. General Aoun presented to Major General Chreim the Army commemorative shield as a token of appreciation and gratitude.
