The handover ceremony of a donation from the Canadian authorities to the LAF

The handover ceremony of maintenance equipment for vehicles and winter equipment offered by the Canadian authorities to the LAF was held at the canteen of the LAF Headquarters. The ceremony was attended by the deputy Chief of Staff for Equipment Brigadier General P.S.C Ziad Nasr representing the Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun, in addition to the Canadian Ambassador to Lebanon Ms. Emmanuelle Lamoureux and several officers. Ambassador Lamoureux delivered a speech on the occasion in which she stressed the importance of cooperation between both armies. Ms. Lamoureux expressed her country’s commitment to continue offering military aid to the LAF. Moreover, Brigadier General P.S.C Nasr delivered a speech including: “The fact that the Canadian authorities carry on in the journey of cooperation with the LAF through offering military aid, is a pertinent proof that these authorities are perfectly aware of the important role of the LAF in preserving stability.”

In the end, Brigadier General P.S.C Nasr recited a letter of appreciation on behalf of the Armed Forces Commander and presented it to the Canadian Ambassador and offered her the LAF commemorative shield in appreciation for her efforts.
