Sad Demise of Retired Brigadier General Moustafa el-Rifai

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation declares the sad demise of retired Brigadier General Moustafa el-Rifai who passed away on 24/8/2020.

The following information present a brief summary of his life and military career:

• Born on 01/07/1934 in Baalbek.
• Enlisted in the Army on 01/05/1959, and rose through the ranks, starting as a Lieutenant on 01/01/1960 and reached the rank of Brigadier General starting with 01/07/1986.
• Received several medals as well as commendations and congratulations of the LAF Commander in chief.
• Followed several educational and training courses in Lebanon and abroad.
• Married with 3 children.
• The funeral will take place on 04/10/2020 after the afternoon prayer at 16:30, from the house of his nephew, former MP Dr. Kamel el-Rifai, to the cemetery of the town of Baalbek.
• Condolences are accepted after the burial for a period of three days in the house of the deceased in the town of Baalbek - Ras el-Ain near the house of Mufti Khalil Choucair.
