The 7th military Arab Taekwondo championship

Under the patronage of the Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun, represented by the Commander of the Higher Center for Military Sports, Brigadier General George el Hedd, the 7th military Arab Taekwondo championship, hosted by the LAF, was held in President Emile Lahoud Military Sports complex from 13/09/2018 until 16/09/2018 with the participation of military sports teams belonging to 8 Arab states. The championship was held with the presence of several presidents of clubs, national sports leagues and media figures and with the participation of the Arab league for military sports as well as the Lebanese Taekwondo League and several officers and soldiers.
The ceremony started with the National Anthem and the hoisting of the flags, the Brigadier General el Hedd announced the opening of the championship and welcomed the audience and the participating teams. The head of the Arab league for military sports ‎Brigadier General Abd el Hadi Bin Bakr el Qahtani then delivered a speech in which he expressed his appreciation to the Army Command and stated that having this championship in Lebanon confirms the will of the Lebanese for life as well as the will of the LAF, committed to the stability and security of the nation.
At the end of the ceremony, member of the executive office in the Arab League for military sports and head of the Jordanian delegation, Brigadier General Jihad Kotayshat congratulated the winners and expressed his appreciation to the Armed Forces Commander for his patronage of the championship. Brigadier General el Hedd also delivered a speech in which he expressed the value of the efforts that were exerted in cooperation with the LAF in order to make this championship a success. Then the achievements of the LAF during the past year as well as the expected activities for the coming phase were showcased.
The winners were announced and trophies and medals were distributed and toasts were exchanged. The Saudi team won first place, Algeria won second, Jordan won Third and Lebanon won fourth
