The Armed Forces Commander attended a meeting at the Headquarters of the joint Italian Forces

The Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun attended a meeting at the Headquarters of the joint Italian Forces with the Commander of the joint forces Major General Nicola Lanza de Cristoforis, the Commander of the Air Forces Lieutenant General Settino Caputo, the Commander of the Navy Rear Admiral Paolo Treu, the Commander of the forces operating in the middle east Vice Admiral Gilles Boidevezi and the Commander of the Italian Carabinieri Lieutenant General Giovani Nistri. During the meeting, the Lebanese side organized a detailed presentation concerning the needs of the LAF according to its assigned missions.

General Aoun expressed his appreciation to the efforts exerted in making this convention a success and to the Italian donations to the LAF as well as the important role performed by the Italian military units operating under the UNIFIL Command. Furthermore, the Italian side expressed its appreciation to the national role played by the LAF as well as the humanitarian competence it is characterized with. The Italian side also expressed its positive stance towards its combat needs that support the LAF and boost its capabilities in the fields of armament, training and logistics.
