Armed Forces Commander in Charge visited military units deployed in Tripoli

Armed Forces Commander in Charge Major General P.S.C Hatem Mallak visited the North Headquarters, the military intelligence branch , the 12th Infantry Brigade Headquarters  and the 1st Intervention Regiment in the city of Tripoli. Major General Mallak toured the posts, checked all field measures taken to consolidate peace and stability in Tripoli and in the north in general. Major General Mallak met with the commanders and the troops of these units to whom he offered his condolences following the martyrdom of Private Ali Moustapha. He gave the troops the proper instructions to deal with the coming stage while praising their distinguished efforts and competence.

Major General Mallak continued his tour by checking up on the injured troops in the city hospitals and whished them a speedy recovery. He later visited the family of martyr Private Ali Moustapha to whom he offered his condolences and commended the martyr’s military morals, his heroism and his devotion in performing his military duty to the point of martyrdom. He noted that his blood and the blood of his comrades that baptized the north has safeguarded Lebanon against the projects of the terrorists aimed at causing sedition and turmoil. He confirmed that the army will spare no effort in tracking down the attackers in order to arrest them regardless of their hiding places and to turn them in to the relevant judiciary authorities. Major General Mallak concluded his visit by asserting that what happened is nothing but an isolated incident and that the clock cannot be turned back in terms of the security of Tripoli.
