The Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun visited the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

The Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun met with his Saudi counterpart, Chief of Staff Lieutenant General P.S.C Fayad Bin Hamed el Roueily where they discussed ways to boost the relations between both armies and develop the military and academic cooperation.
General Aoun also visited the Academy of Command and Staff, the largest academic institution for the Saudi army, toured its divisions where he was informed of the curricular activities and met with an officer from the LAF attending a Staff course at the academy.
Moreover, General Aoun then moved to the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition center where he attended a briefing of the missions of the center and ways for facing terrorism.
The head of the center commended the accomplishment of the LAF in its victory over terrorism in the “Dawn of the Outskirts” battle and considered that there are numerous commonalities between the LAF and the Saudi army in terms of the standards adopted in facing terrorism.
Furthermore, General Aoun made a stop at the Air Forces headquarters where he visited the airborne operations room and attended a briefing concerning the airborne capabilities of the Saudi army as well as the type of weapon it uses.
