The Armed Forces Commander visited the operations room of the Arab Economic and Social Development summit
The Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun, accompanied by the director of Intelligence, visited this afternoon the operations room of the security structure for preserving the security during the 4th Arab Economic and Social Development summit in the Republican Guard Brigade, which includes representatives of different security forces and agencies in addition to the Red Cross and the Civil Defense. General Aoun attended a briefing presented by the president of the operations room concerning the work conduct of the operations section that supervises security measures and procedures in order to preserve the security of delegations participating in the summit during its period in Beirut.
Moreover, General Aoun was informed of the modern programs and techniques being used in managing security units deployed in the field at the surroundings of the location of the summit and coordinating in between these units.
General Aoun stated that security unit are in ultimate readiness and that the security measures being taken prove our will and commitment to preserving the security and safety of the convention.
