Army Chief of Staff visited the Defense and Guard Battalion at Rafic Hariri International Airport

The Lebanese Army Chief of Staff Major General P.S.C Amin El-Erem visited this morning the Defense and Guard Battalion at Rafic Hariri International Airport and Beirut aerial Base where he attended a briefing that included the missions performed by the said battalion. The Army Chief of Staff took a tour in the Air Force Technical wing and met with the officers and troops to whom he conveyed the instructions of the LAF Commander General Joseph Aoun. In his speech addressed to the troops, the Army Chief of Staff said that the country is undergoing an extremely critical and delicate situation in light of the current situation in the region. These facts make it necessary that all parties act wisely while dealing with the new missions in addition to remaining vigilant and accurate in performing their tasks. The Army Chief of Staff praised the performance of the LAF during this stage after it proved its success in performing the missions of keeping peace and stability. He stressed the need to keep all roads open and the necessity to forbid all parties from targeting public and private properties.
Major General P.S.C concluded his speech by confirming the need to be endowed with a high sense of responsibility and to avoid rumors in addition to obeying the orders and instructions issued by the LAF Command. “You are the guardians of sovereignty and the country” Major General P.S.C El-Erem added.
